The Role
You will be involved in the delivery of civil and structural design solutions from concept through to construction, supporting renewable energy and utility projects while working closely with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce civil and structural designs for infrastructure and renewable energy developments, including foundations, access roads, drainage systems, cable corridors and substations

  • Prepare site layouts, earthworks models and grading designs using CAD and BIM platforms

  • Carry out structural and foundation design in accordance with Eurocode standards

  • Develop steelwork and reinforced concrete designs

  • Prepare calculations, drawings, material specifications and technical documentation

  • Review designs, identify and resolve clashes, and maintain accurate records

  • Support planning submissions and contribute to tender and construction documentation

  • Process survey data and site investigation information

  • Undertake temporary works design where required

  • Assist with on-site quality inspections and capture as-built information

  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, consultants and statutory authorities

  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety and environmental requirements

  • Attend site visits as required (occasional travel)

Key Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (NFQ Level 8 or equivalent)

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in civil/structural design, ideally within energy, utilities or infrastructure projects

  • Strong technical capability in civil and structural engineering design

  • Working knowledge of Eurocodes, Irish and EU standards, building regulations and environmental legislation

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Civil 3D, Revit, BIM workflows or GIS tools is advantageous

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong IT skills and ability to manage technical documentation

  • Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team

  • Flexible approach to work with a full driving licence required
